The Price of Gas

The price of gas has declined incredibly over the past couple of months all across the United States and the world. Gas, at one point in time, was reaching well into $4 per gallon for regular-unleaded. The national average even reached as much as $4 per gallon for regular-unleaded gas. While the price of gas continued to climb in the latter months of 2008 many gas stations across the country were forced to shut down and go out of business because they weren’t pulling in enough customers to pay for the supply of oil coming into their station.

Gas dipped to roughly $1.65 per gallon of regular-unleaded at the turn of the New Year and has since begun to climb up closer to $2 per gallon of regular-unleaded. The latest price in the Northeast part of the country is $1.75 per gall on of regular-unleaded. The national average for a gallon of regular-unleaded gas is currently $1.96, well below the national average from only a handful of months ago, but it is beginning to rise again. The recent rise in gas prices across the country is being blamed on inflation. AAA, the road service for drivers across the country, claims that all the information received about the price of gas does not indicate whether or not the price of a gallon of regular-unleaded gas will return to $4 per gallon.

When the New Year was upon us, the average price of regular gasoline went up 35 cents on a national level. But on the other hand the price of gas per barrel has dipped to $35 per barrel and the price continues to dip. So these two phenomenons do not tend to match up. AAA threw out the idea that the price continues to rise because of the economy. With the economy in a bad spot right now, people are being more conservative about how often they drive and where they drive to Autel MaxiSys MS906BT. But AAA also feels that driving will increase once the summer hits and that will help to reduce the price of gas OBD2 Scanner.

When gas prices were running through the roof only a couple of months before the New Year drivers would only fill up when absolutely necessary. This means that more and more drivers would get stranded on the roads because they would run out of gas and stall on the roadways. Drivers would also only put $5 or $10 into their tank at a time. During the gas crisis of a couple of months ago more and more people began to carpool or take public transit to and from work Autel MaxiSys Pro. Even though this was bad for drivers who weren’t using their expensive cars it was a boost for the environment. Fewer cars were on the roads, which meant that there was a smaller amount of emissions being released into the air. Also, there was less traffic in some of the most heavily traveled areas of the country. With gas prices finally under $2 per gallon of regular-unleaded, people are able to drive themselves to work again.
